Protein expression of atrophy related proteins in the TA muscle C57BL/6, MuRF1KO, and MuRF2KO mice. MAFbx (a), MuRF1 (b), and MuRF2 (c) protein expression was quantified in NaCl- or monocrotaline-treated animals. To test for cooperativity between MuRF1 and MuRF2, MuRF2 expression was assessed also in C57BL6 MuRF1KO mice (d). Data are presented as mean ± SEM and representative blots are depicted.
